Job Description

The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) in Syracuse, NY, invites applications for a calendar-year, non-tenure track position at the rank of Visiting Instructor or Assistant Professor in the ESF Open Academy.

We are working to make online education programs an ever greater part of ESF’s educational offerings. To that end, we are developing a fully online Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Management (an A.S. to B.S. completion program) that integrates discipline- and career-focused knowledge, skills, and perspectives based on the three pillars of sustainability: economics, society, and the environment. In support of this program and other programs, we have established the ESF Teaching and Learning Collaboratory (TLC) that encourages and supports innovative and effective teaching and learning. The TLC directly supports our faculty as they adapt and create new academic programs for online delivery in order to reach students we are not yet serving.
