Job Description

Work with various partners throughout Pierce county to address forestry issues and to work directly with community partners.  Team member will work with private landowners and the timber industry  to provide technical assistance for Climate smart processes to assist with ecologically informed projects.  This is a 4 year grant funded position

I think of the project as having three pillars:

1. Landowner incentive program: Joint implementation between Pierce Conservation District and WCA. PCD will manage landowner enrollment, payment, and technical assistance.
2. Sawmill incentive program and connecting climate-smart wood to markets: WCA leads on this.
3. Local government engagement to include Tribal governments.
