Landscape Foreman Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Landscape Foreman to be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of landscaping projects. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of plant material, planting practices, maintenance practices, and most importantly the ability to manage a team of landscape workers.  Candidate must also understand the required work and be creative with solutions, ideas, and possess good communication skills.

Landscape Foreman Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise landscape projects including scheduling work
• Train landscape workers and ensure that they are following company policies and procedures
• Communicating with clients and co-workers
• Ensure that landscaping projects are completed on time and meet customer expectations
• Perform hands-on tasks such as planting, mowing, pruning, and trimming
• Monitor and maintain the quality of the landscaping projects

Landscape Foreman Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in landscaping or a related field
• Read and comprehend blueprint drawings
• Ability to lay out plants, trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals.
• Understand correct horticultural practices
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Motivated and willing to learn and adapt in the landscaping industry
