Position Overview

Greenagers is seeking a full-time Trails Manager to join the Conservation and Trails department. This department is focused on empowering young adults to build a sense of place and fundamental work skills through paid employment opportunities in conservation, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. It strives to build a program accessible to and reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.

Specific responsibilities include working with other Trails and Conservation staff to:
1. Support, supervise, and manage trail crews
2. Prepare bids, proposals, permits, and grants for trails projects in the tri-state region
3. Recruit, interview, hire, and train crew leaders and crew members
4. Steward the Housatonic River Walk, Bow Wow Woods, and April Hill

Qualifications

 Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, varied projects and efforts at one time
 Experience building and maintaining hiking trails
 Being at ease in and having a passion for the outdoors
 Ability to supervise youth
 Empathetic and observant listener
 Skilled at working collaboratively
 Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
 Ability to meet deadlines
 Microsoft Office proficiency

Compensation
Starting annual salary of $52,000-$58,000 commensurate with experience
