Position Purpose:

The Marketing Project Coordinator will play a crucial role as the Global Marketing & Communications Team continues to evolve in support of NatureWorks’ continued growth in supplying more responsible and sustainable materials to the world. You will help plan, coordinate, track, and report out on the large number of projects undertaken by the group focusing on corporate communications, product marketing, and sustainability communications. You will need to have a birds eye view of all priorities and projects facing the team to help improve collaboration, transparency, and productivity. The right person will be passionate about the NatureWorks mission and will thrive in a growth-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team members to create a strategic marketing strategy and map out the tasks needed to implement that strategy
  • Understand the company, its products, customer base, and marketing team roles, responsibilities, and priorities, to create marketing campaign timelines and deliverables for market promotional plans
  • Update and maintain the Marketing team internal calendar with internal reporting deadlines
  • Help communicate the status of projects to internal stakeholders with written reports & visuals
  • Lead meeting scheduling between the Marketing team and key project stakeholders and external vendors
  • Collaborate with Senior Digital Strategist, Marketing Content Specialist, and Graphic Designer to manage content team’s workload and priorities based on overall marketing priorities and timeline
  • Manage and maintain projects and tasks in MS Project and Trello to keep work on track and timelines and projections up to date
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining a digital assets management process for creative files, graphics, and multimedia files
  • Assist in keeping assets, templates, and collateral up to date on the team SharePoint site
  • Assist with team with ordering of samples and branded items
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors
  • Handle any billing or invoices related to Marketing vendors to ensure prompt payment with Accounting
  • Assist in processing trademark license agreements, NDAs, and contracts related to external vendors and consultants

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

  • BA degree in business, marketing, communications, project management or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Experience with project management theory and best practices
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Experience with a project management tools such as MS Project (web version), Planner, Trello or similar
  • Strong aptitude for learning new programs as needed
  • Enjoy working both autonomously and collaboratively on a diverse team with the ability to handle ambiguity
  • Comfortable collaborating with remote team members via apps like Microsoft Teams or Zoom
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Extreme curiosity and appetite for learning and growth
  • Ability to think quickly and strategically to resolve conflicts
  • Must maintain a high-level of confidentiality and diplomacy with sensitive or proprietary information

Useful Additional Experience:

  • B2B marketing experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Fast-paced office environment with pressure of multiple time deadlines
  • Flexibility to work the outside normal working hours to accommodate phone calls with international team members
  • Occasionally requires regular lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds
  • Requires use of electronics such as computers, tablets, mobile phones
  • Required computer-related activities for extended periods of time
  • Position is located in Plymouth, MN
  • Hybrid arrangement of virtual and in-office work available
