BWP’s mission is safely providing affordable, reliable, and sustainable utility services to the community. The Sustainability Officer will provide visionary leadership and thoughtful cooperation to advance environmental sustainability throughout the City of Burbank. They will build relationships with City departments, Burbank businesses, and nonprofit organizations to help the City achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions. They will serve as the project manager for sustainability initiatives, establish benchmarks, and monitor and report on performance. They will have the opportunity to pilot new initiatives and serve as the City’s representative on all GHG reduction efforts via regional, state and national partnerships. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, influential leader with in-depth knowledge of environmental sustainability and GHG reduction. They are accomplished at performing complex policy analysis, collecting and analyzing data, tracking results, and implementing successful campaigns.

Requires 5 years of experience performing complex, professional level administrative analysis and project management, including 3 years of direct experience with sustainability programs.

Salary: $114,992.28 to $151,214.76 per year, DOQ.
