Academic Coordinators are appointees who administer academic programs that provide service closely related to the teaching or research mission of the University. This service may be provided to academic departments, to organized research units, to students, or to the general public. Determination of the appropriate level for an appointment for an Academic Coordinator shall take into consideration such factors as program scope and complexity. The duties of an Academic Coordinator are primarily administrative. Individuals in an Academic Coordinator title who are assigned research or instructional duties are required to hold a dual title.
Program Mission:
The Student Farm (SF) is a key component of the Agricultural Sustainability Institute (ASI). The SF serves UC Davis students, faculty, and the public with diverse learning, teaching, research, and outreach opportunities focused on sustainable agriculture and food systems. Knowledge and skills are developed in field and classroom settings through formal courses, student internships, scientific experimentation and programs that emphasize experiential learning. The SF is committed to student initiative, agency, creativity, and leadership as critical aspects of developing more just and sustainable agriculture and food systems. Enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion is a goal for all SF activities.
