ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

Just Solutions  is a national Black, Indigenous, People of Color-led organization that broadens and deepens the understanding and advancement of equitable and effective climate policies and programs. Just Solutions State’s Initiative houses the Emerging States Program, which provides support and resources to Environmental Justice/Climate Justice (EJ/CJ) practitioners and frontline communities within “emerging states.” We define these states as those with less political opportunity and greater struggle to address climate issues with proactive solutions. The program aims to empower communities and enhance their capacity to address climate challenges by providing them with information, models, and knowledge necessary to capitalize on opportunities to advance equitable policy solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and passionate State Initiatives Manager to lead and coordinate Just Solutions’ Emerging States Program.
