Sr. Systems Engineer

CLYNK is a technology and information company redefining beverage container redemption for manufacturers, food retailers and consumers in states with container deposit laws, commonly known as Bottle Bills. We service 100+ locations, and process 6M+ transactions per year. Both our back office and retail operations are geographically dispersed and spreading quickly. This is a fast paced, multi-disciplined opportunity to help drive technical direction for something that isn’t being done anywhere else.

We are looking to hire an experienced Systems Engineer to help us manage our growing network and systems infrastructure.

In this role, we are also looking for someone who:

Required Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex technical projects.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks logically in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery principles, security, and best practices.
  • At least 5 years of experience with the following, with the ability to gain proficiency with other technology:
  • Network Administration with VPN (site to site, remote access). Includes configuring and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure: installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links.
  • Virtualization with VMWare enterprise stack (vCenter, vSphere Esxi, etc.) and related technology administration with a focus on high availability and scalability of architectures.
  • SAN storage solutions: physical data storage equipment and environment. Designing, deploying, or manages data storage networks both within data center and between remote office locations.
  • Desktop support, administration, and application deployment.
  • Strong, technical working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Exchange, GPO, Enterprise Active Directory, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Maintaining monitoring, proactive tuning, and system/software upgrades of systems for optimum performance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Articulate technical challenges and solutions to business stakeholders and team members.
  • Must be able to work off-hours as required participate in on-call rotations.
  • Work may include pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing approximately 40 pounds or more such as computer equipment and other materials.
  • There may be occasional visits to client sites for troubleshooting and to Colo datacenter.
  • Dependable vehicle and clean driving record required.

Helpful Experience:

  • Office 365 Enterprise Suite of tools and services including Exchange Online.
  • SD-WAN and similar technologies
  • VOIP and Telecommunications.
  • Microsoft Azure/Amazon AWS.
  • Third party platforms and tools such as WYSE Management Suite, FreshService, SendGrid, WhatsUpGold, KnowB4, Nessus
    Web hosting and CMS (i.e. WordPress).
  • Video Surveillance technologies and standards
  • Experience in IoT, Raspberry Pi, Arduino.
  • Linux administration.
  • Dev Ops, database, Business Intelligence (i.e. Power BI etc.) knowledge.
  • Vendor specific: Palo Alto Networks, Ubiquiti UNIFI, Dell, Juniper, ADTRAN, VMWare, Microsoft, Zultys.
