About the Strategy & Programs Team

As B Lab US & Canada works to implement its evolved theory of change centered on mobilizing the B  Community for collective action on climate justice, racial equity and a stakeholder driven economic system, we are building a new Strategy & Programs Team to bring this vision to life. The Strategy & Programs Team will be responsible for developing the learning, engagement and action opportunities that will prepare and enable our community of credible business leaders to mobilize for transformational change. This team of partnership, policy and programs professionals will work together across impact areas to create an intersectional, justice and equity centered approach to programming that serves both the core 1,700+ US & Canadian B Corps, as well as the broader group of businesses that use B Lab’s tools and engage in our programs and networks. The Strategy + Programs team will build on the successes of B Corp collective action efforts in motion around the world (e.g. B Corp Climate Collective), while learning from cross sector collective impact efforts and embedding the wisdom of frontline justice and equity leaders and B Corp stakeholders.

The Strategy & Programs Team will work collaboratively across both the US & Canadian B Lab Team, as well as the B Lab Global Network, engaging with B Lab colleagues to mobilize B Corps around programming, amplify inspiring stories as well as learning from and sharing best practices with colleagues around the world.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Program Manager for Climate Justice will be a vital member of our Strategy & Programs  team who will co-develop and lead a business-focused program to train business leaders on the “why” and “how” of climate justice, leaning on existing peer-based community to deepen and accelerate the learning and move businesses from theory to concrete action in centering climate action in people and justice. You will have the opportunity to leverage B Lab’s 15+ years of experience in economic system reform, community engagement, and movement building, its deep commitment to antiracism and racial equity, the unique credibility and peer-to-peer mentorship of the Certified B Corp community, and the expertise of frontline experts and partners to realize these goals. This is a vital role that will refine and operationalize our climate justice strategy within the frame of our established theory of change. This role will work closely with the Senior Program Manager for Racial Equity and broader Strategy & Programs team to develop an intersectional approach to climate justice programming, focused first on education and eventually moving to collective action.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with experience with program design and execution; a strong commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion; deep understanding of climate and/or environmental justice; and a track record of engaging businesses in social and/or environmental issues.
