We want you to succeed and we want to pay you a competitive wage that is in line with your experience.  The range for this full-time role remote position is $73,000-$79,000.

What the Role Needs:

Creative content designer: Creates video and graphic content for use on our social media feeds, websites, and for print, with a particular focus on developing videos and editing for use on social media and web and designing long-form reports and briefings. Develop “Now This” style videos for social media that overlay still imagery with music and captions to educate viewers on campaign topics. Design reports including multiple infographics. Produce visual content that aligns with FOE’s brand and helps achieve campaign and organizational goals.

Collaborative Team Player: Works in collaboration with communications, programs, campaigns and organizing staff members to handle requests. Develops strong relationships and works collaboratively with FOE’s programmatic and other staff to help meet their and the organization’s needs.

Strategic Thinker: Participates in strategy, planning and campaign meetings. Researches and analyzes digital and traditional media trends and recommends creative ideas to meet the growing demand for more visual and multimedia content. Manages multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating effectively with colleagues.

Required Qualifications:  

  • 4-6 years’ experience in video production and graphic design, either with an organization or company, or as a freelance designer
  • Extensive experience with video development and editing, particularly in creating video contents for use on social media
  • Extensive experience in graphic design for print and web, and expertise in the Adobe design suite
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others; an open-minded approach and a willingness to adapt/change designs based on feedback
  • Extensive experience in audio editing and video color correction
  • Extensive experience in photo touchup
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently without extensive oversight
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines at once
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.  FOE does not sponsor any employment related visas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating advocacy design concepts and materials preferred
  • Experience in animation and illustration preferred
