Full-Time Senior Manager of Environmental Programs

Altura is actively seeking a Senior Manager of Environmental Programs with 10+ years of client management, business development, and program management skills to help expand Altura’s climate change-related impacts across multiple sectors. Qualified candidates should have relevant experience in the sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields.

The preferred location for this position is in Altura’s Newport Beach or Oakland, CA offices; however other remote locations will be considered.

Scope & Responsibilities:

  • Help drive go-to-market strategies for offering Decarbonization Programs in the healthcare, higher education, federal, automotive, REIT and other market sectors.
  • Play a leadership role in growing and diversifying Altura’s Environmental Programs client base by leveraging professional network and internal business development/marketing resources.
  • Collaborate with team members to expand technical service offerings.
  • Develop custom Environmental Programs for new clients and serve as Client Manager for multiple portfolio-level clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields.
  • Experience implementing decarbonization strategies for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources.
  • Well-formed professional network and business development skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy. Ability to thrive in a teamwork-driven environment.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in related field.

  • Experience in the healthcare, higher education, federal, automotive, real estate and/or other market sectors

  • Thought Leadership: Desire to contribute participate in industry publications and events (e.g. speaking engagements, conferences, trade journals, blogs)

Location:

Newport Beach (Preferred), or a hybrid or remote (within the U.S.) candidate would be considered.

Additional benefits for regular full-time employees include fitness reimbursement, healthcare and dependent care pre-tax spending plans, tuition reimbursement, back-up daycare and family support benefits, EAP, work life assistance and a holiday contribution program. Base salaries will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations.  For this role the annual base salary range is $145,000 – $175,000.
