Job Description

Sierra Club seeks an Organizing Representative based in Ft. Myers Florida to coordinate a broad, volunteer-based citizen education effort and build teams of activists on our campaigns to (1) stop fertilizer, sewage, and manure pollution, the nutrient pollution that fuels Karenia brevis and blue-green algae, at its source and to advocate for clean water for Florida’s springs, rivers, lakes, and estuaries; and (2) protect Florida’s wildlands, and the wildlife that inhabit them, from unsustainable growth, transportation corridors, and other development threats.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in recruiting and motivating people to build grassroots power and possesses strong coalition-building, media relations, advocacy, and communications skills.
