Job Description

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for an Energy Project Manager (Federal Program Manager) within the Technical and Environmental Services Division working offsite at Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of energy and environmental policies, regulations and program management related to energy and environmental projects as these relate to federal funding and grants as well as compliance related activities. Additional skills would include budget management, the ability to interact collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders involved in these programs. Candidate should have experience in contract management and contract development as these relate technical programs. This position will function as a Program Manager and Federal Grants manager with the Maryland Energy Administration, providing both technical policy and compliance in support of the Agency’s mission to for clean, affordable, and reliable energy. This position will be a key member of the team who is at the forefront of energy policy and programs and will be essential to assist MEA in deploying federal funds to benefit Marylanders.

Estimated Pay Range:

$80,000 – $135,823.23

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in environmental science, engineering, ecology or a related field from an accredited college or university plus six years of experience in environmental science, regulations, engineering or management, three years of which must have included responsibility managing energy projects. Applicants may substitute an applicable advanced education degree for up to two years of required experience. Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
