Job Description

Both part-time and full-time applicants will be considered for this position.

The Impact Measurement & Allocation Program (IMAP) at Boston University is growing quickly and needs your help promoting our work! The IMAP was founded in 2020 thanks to alumni donations. The goal of this research program is to enable investors to better understand the environmental and social impacts of companies, and how they can use their investments to effect positive change in these areas. We enable industry professionals to show academic researchers todays real world challenges, provide seed-funding to academic research in these areas, and then bring the results of the academic research back into the public sphere. The IMAP has two parent organizations within Boston University, the university-wide Institute of Global Sustainability, and the Susilo Institute for Ethics in the Global Economy within Questrom School of Business. With several research projects now underway, and multiple events being planned, we seek a marketing and events manager to lead our outreach efforts.

Tasks will include:

  • Managing and updating the IMAP website and social media channels with new content
  • Editing research videos for posting to the web and/or social media
  • Managing events coordinating with BU facilities, IT and catering; ordering supplies; assisting with set-up and clean-up of events
  • Managing invitations and RSVPs to events
  • Drafting regular IMAP newsletters and managing the IMAP mailing list
  • Adding graphic design and/or images to text-content provided by IMAP researcher

Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree required, with 5-8 years experience.

Candidates will have:

  • Interest in sustainability, and how businesses and investors can work together to take better care of our people and planet.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to details
  • Strong communication and design skills
  • Comfort working the following tools:
