Job Description

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is looking for an experienced Project Manager and Site Supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise a variety of construction projects undertaken as part of a multi-dimension conservation stewardship plan. The plan will include remediation and habitat improvements, restoration and rehabilitation of farmland structures, installation and repair of marine and shoreline facilities, and other related activities. You will be required to work closely with contractors and consultants in a hands-on manner to organize, facilitate, oversee projects and in some cases assume direct responsibility for the management and execution of the project activity. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This is a 3-to-5-year term position with a possibly to become permanent.

Essential functions include:

1. Develop project plans with Architects, engineers, contractors, and oversight team. This included planning and managing schedules for work to be completed, providing internal reporting on progress.

2. Compile, plan, and manage budgets, cost estimates, and other financial estimates. Ensure that projects are completed on time and on budget.

3. Oversee and supervise construction project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress, and adjustments. Position requires daily presence on site while activities are underway.

4. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, county guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.

PREFERRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3 years’ experience as a project manager or in a similar position in construction management.
Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Ability to receive and give supportive feedback to foster equity and inclusion in working relationships. Ability to recognize, nurture, and learn from strengths in co-workers. Having flexibility to accomplish job responsibilities in several work environments, whether it be from home, on the road, or in an office.

Salary Range: $80,000
