About the Larimer County Conservation Corps:
The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) promotes individual development through service for the benefit of our environment and community. Our programs empower corpsmembers to develop personal and professional skills, gain environmental awareness and actively engage in the community, while developing self-sufficiency to help them become productive members of our community. The LCCC is based in Fort Collins, Colorado and is an accredited corps through the Colorado Youth Corps Association and The Corps Network.
Larimer County Conservation Corps is hiring Crew Leaders, Assistant Crew Leaders and Corpsmembers for two fall forestry crews! The Fall Forestry Crew position is a temporary, seasonal position performing forestry and trail maintenance projects in Larimer County, Colorado. These crews will operate from August 22 – November 4 and complete conservation projects such as:
- Fire mitigation at Arapaho Ranch in Nederland, CO
- Fire mitigation at Button Rock Preserve in Lyons, CO
- Tree planting in areas of the Cameron Peak burn scar
- Trail maintenance in the Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest
LCCC will provide all participants with Wilderness First Aid and S-212 Chainsaw certifications before starting projects. All participants will camp for the duration of the season with meals and transportation to and from the worksite provided.
