Pinnacle Communications, an award-winning full-service marketing and advertising agency in Baltimore, is searching for a dynamite marketing coordinator to do environmental education and outreach. The marketing coordinator will help us on-site with a client in Baltimore County three days a week. Additionally, the position will work on-site at Pinnacle two days a week, averaging 35 – 40 hours per week.

This contract position provides support for the daily requirements for marketing, education and outreach delivery, production of various outreach and media material, writing of educational blog entries, press releases, social media materials, factsheets, newsletters, brochures etc. Strong social media skills a must. Developing educational material and/or workshops and/or other events relating to environmental education initiatives as described in Baltimore County SWAPs, TMDL IPs, and County’s MS4 permit (may also include the writing of public outreach and education strategy.) Data tracking to include the development of a public outreach effectiveness study and tracking system, including completion of pilot studies leading to the establishment of pollutant reduction efficiencies. Essential responsibilities include: 1. Staffing to represent clients at various conferences, public meetings, tours, festivals and environmental events, on-request presentations to various groups. Staffing may need to happen outside of normal business hours and on the weekends. 2. Provides research, planning, writing, posting and reporting for social media activities. 3. Public relations strategic planning, writing and implementation. 4. knowledge of social media tools including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin, blogs, etc. 5. Attend client meetings and events. 6. Prepare monthly/periodic reports as directed. 7. Maintain a working knowledge of current trends & developments in environmental sustainability and public education. 8. Perform other duties as requested. Secondary functions: 1. Maintain positive, productive working relationships with all Pinnacle clients and staff. Contribute to project management, new business development, creation of client reports, data entry and other duties as requested. Willing to learn & grow, flexible, creative, energetic and committed to success.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in marketing or mass communications or environmental sustainability and posses strong analytic skills, with the ability to interact with the public on environmental sustainability. Excellent social media, marketing, business writing skills and project management skills are also required. An outgoing individual with an interest and knowledge of environmental sustainability preferred.
