Job Description

The Eco-Park Landscaper will work M-F in the mornings for a total of 14-18 hrs/wk supporting the creation of gardens, trails, and outdoor learning spaces at a new 10-acre outdoor nature and education center. This summer position starts immediately and runs through the end of August, with possibility for extension. The position pays $18/hour.

Responsibilities include groundskeeping, farm-animal care, trail creation, and helping to install interpretive exhibits. Landscaper also provides support for public events by ensuring the park remains clean and welcoming for the community. Ideal candidates are extremely reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team, enjoy outdoor work, and have a passion for environmental stewardship.

Key Duties:

• Consistently provide morning care for goats, reliably doing so at same time each day.
• Perform landscaping, gardening, and groundskeeping tasks, such as watering, weeding, planting, mowing.
• Construct and maintain hiking trails and fencing.

Qualifications:

• Able to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions with good humor.
• Reliable and available to work onsite at the park consistently.
• Communicates well and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work and collaboration.
• Experience with gardening, farming, carpentry, agroecology, or other agricultural practices.
• Interested in groundskeeping, landscaping, and habitat restoration work.
• Commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
