THE ROLE

As a senior member of the Program Strategy team at Meteorite, you’ll lead initiatives to improve workplace and community health, with a specific focus on Climate + Health. You’ll manage the National Commission on Climate and Workforce Health, support broader program strategy work across the Health Action Alliance portfolio, oversee a team, and be client-facing.

The ideal candidate for Director, Program Strategy, is a self-starter who is passionate about improving the health of workplaces and communities across the country, with a specific focus on Climate + Health.  You should have professional experience in the public health sector, ESG initiatives, social impact companies, or nonprofit organizations, and have a solid understanding of employers’ needs as they look to help address their employees’ health and wellbeing.

Strategic Direction   

  • Provide Climate and health-related subject matter expertise,  team leadership, and tactical program support
  • Collaborate on proposal processes and operational plans with business development and partner experience
  • Lead strategy sessions, meetings, and status calls with clients and stakeholders
  • Oversee the development of tracking frameworks and strategy decks
  • Maintain relationships with partners and sponsors, including Climate Commission members

Network Development + Engagement

  • Manage communications with Climate Commission members and stakeholders across your portfolio
  • Identify and engage experts for various contributions and programmatic engagement
  • Organize regular touchpoints and foster collaborations between members, clients, and internal teams
  • Build relationships with private sector leaders, identifying business development, collaborate opportunities or other ‘wins’ for the Commission and Company
  • Connect subject matter experts with relevant stakeholders and producers to provide feedback on content, rapid response, and other opportunities.
  • Collect metrics and feedback to elevate thought leaders and engaged members, track progress, and inform future work

Communications & Content Strategy

  • Collaborate on communications and content strategy with the Editorial Director, including timing, topics, and calls-to-action for newsletters, social media posts, resources, press releases, key messaging documents, and other external materials.
  • Create detailed content briefs/outlines, engaging the internal research team
  • Identify opportunities for the Commission to shape national conversation
  • Review external communications through a subject-matter expertise lens
  • In collaboration with our Events Director, develop speaking scripts and Run-of-Show documents for HAA and partner-sponsored events (live and virtual).
  • Act as expert host/moderator for relevant events as a thought leader for HAA.

YOUR MINDSET AND EXPERIENCE 

  • 7+ years experience in program management, communications, or social impact environments, with subject matter expertise in multiple areas, including specifically within the ESG and Climate + Health realms
  • A highly organized, detail-oriented, creative thinker and problem-solver who sees every challenge as an opportunity
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbally
  • Experience synthesizing and presenting complex information
  • A deeply curious learner, always looking to grow and stay current with the topics most important to our partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts across a portfolio of projects, with a high degree of focus and prioritization as needed
  • A team player who collaborates well with internal and external partners to help our clients achieve their goals
  • Views all work, internally and externally, through a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion

WE OFFER

  • The salary range for this position is $130,000 – 155,000, commensurate with experience level and geographic location.
  • Group health, dental, and vision insurance plans are heavily subsidized by the company.
  • Access to our 401(k) retirement plan, with a dollar-for-dollar match up to 4% of salary.
