Job Description

Located in south-central Pennsylvania, the Dickinson College Farm is an 80-acre educational production farm that raises certified organic produce and grass-fed meat for campus and community consumption, in addition to serving as a resource for academic and agricultural training interests.

The Dickinson College Farm invites motivated and experienced applicants to apply for the newly created Crew Leader position. The 2021 Crew Leader position offers a full-season learning and working intensive focused on the farm’s 10-acre vegetable operation. The College Farm supports a 130+ member CSA, in addition to robust produce sales to the campus dining hall and diverse stand at Carlisle’s producer-only farmers’ market. As a member of the farm’s management team, the Crew Leader position will support crop production and team management goals to ensure a fruitful growing season.

Successful applicants will have a minimum of one full season of experience on a vegetable production farm, a keen interest in developing professional and technical know-how in agriculture, and a passion for building cohesive teams. They will also be enthusiastic and organized leaders, enjoy working with college-aged students, and bring diverse skillsets to the position.
