Full-Time Community Outreach Manager

Job Description

The Community Outreach Manager will provide high-level services and direction for the Clinch Valley Program and Cumberland Forest Project in Virginia. The Community Outreach Manager develops, sustains, and expands strategic partnerships with local communities, government agencies, non-profits, local businesses, and other stakeholders to advance key Conservancy initiatives.  The Community Outreach Manager represents the Conservancy and provides leadership in public engagements, partner meetings, regional initiatives (e.g. Clinch River Valley Initiative), and collaborative nature-based community and economic development projects related outdoor recreation and tourism, water quality protection and ecosystem restoration, environmental education, and community revitalization.  The position works closely with a variety of constituents such as other Conservancy science, conservation, and operations staff; external partners including localities, program consultants, and vendors to manage all phases of community driven projects or initiatives.
