Fulltime, year-round
Compensation: $20.00 – $23.00/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, college degree preferred
• At least two years of experience managing a CSA or working in a position directly related to managing a CSA from seeding, to transplanting, to harvest to delivery
• Operates and maintains small farm tractors and related farm equipment
• Experience operating greenhouses year round
• Understands how to grow diverse varieties of crops, crop rotation to ensure multiple harvests, pest control, soil nutrient management
• Two years supervisory experience highly desirable
• Highly desire experience with, or understanding of, organic certification
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• Basic knowledge of Google workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and related web-based software

Founded in 1992, Homefields is an award-winning nonprofit 501(c)(3) located on 19 acres in Millersville, PA. We provide housing and meaningful work opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (IDD/ASD). Our certified-organic CSA farm serves 145 families annually. Our job training program opens doors to local high-school students who have IDDs. We have received grants from the Sierra Club, Northeast SARE (Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education), Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation, NRCS/USDA, and other organizations.
