Responsibilities

This person will help build the best marketplace in the world for high quality carbon removals and offsets. Responsibilities include:

  • Build a best-in-class ecosystem of marketplace partners across technology-based, nature-based, and clean power-based solutions
    • Understand the landscape of these solutions and have your pulse on the market
    • Refine partner vetting criteria
    • Source, vet, and sign new partners
    • Form and negotiate creative, optimized partnership terms and structures
    • Onboard, lead, and manage partner relationships
  • Generate and support demand for your partners
    • Be the in-house expert in your partners’ domain (e.g., nature-based solutions)
    • Partner with the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to educate and pitch customers on these solutions
  • Collaborate with Director of Sustainability across these efforts
  • Work closely with CEO, sales, marketing, customer success, and product
  • Build and evolve scalable supply-side processes
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels in coordination with demand-side development
  • Play a crucial role in shaping the company’s strategy

You Might Be A Fit If You Have:

  • A passion for climate
  • A deep understanding or experience in carbon removal, carbon markets, and/or buying or selling carbon credits
  • A record of consultative selling, business development, and partner management
  • A strong bias for action and will to succeed; highly resourceful
  • Ability to learn, decide, and execute quickly, efficiently, and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and across all functions
  • A history of or a desire to work in a high growth, fast-changing startup
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Adaptability, comfort amongst ambiguity, changing directives, and rapidly evolving market conditions
  • You’re a hardworking, no-ego, no-politics, honest, and accountable team player who constantly raises the bar and is passionate about making an impact
