Job Description

This position is posted at both the State Program Administrator Senior level and the State Program Administrator Principal level.  The level at which this position will be filled will be determined based on the top candidate.

Bioeconomy Program Manager, State Program Administrator Senior

This position exists to administer and advise division and department leadership on bioenergy and bioproducts initiatives and programs, including biofuels, to create opportunities for adding value to and generate additional economic benefit from agricultural crops and livestock (and to a lesser extent from forestry), to improve environmental quality, and to help the state meet its greenhouse-gas and petroleum replacement goals.

  • Researching, analyzing, and making recommendations on policies and programs to help biofuel production and use in Minnesota grow.
  • Researching, analyzing, and making recommendations on implementing policies and programs to promote technological advancement and commercialization of new and innovative biofuels and bioproducts.
  • Preparing accurate, relevant, and compelling information for review and approval.
  • Collecting or acquiring, maintaining, and analyzing data relevant to the measurement of performance and results of biofuels and bioproducts programs.

Salary Range: $24.03 – $35.24/hourly; $50,175 – $73,581/annually

This position is located in St. Paul and may have options for teleworking from home.

Bioeconomy Program Manager, State Program Administrator Principal

This position will lead bioenergy and bioproducts initiatives and programs, including biofuels, to create opportunities for adding value to and generating additional economic benefit from agricultural crops and livestock, to improve environmental quality and to help the State meet its greenhouse-gas and petroleum replacement goals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and programs to help biofuel production and use in Minnesota grow.
  • Developing and implementing policies and programs to promote technological advancement and commercialization of new and innovative biofuels and bioproducts.
  • Preparing and disseminating accurate, relevant, and compelling information about biofuels and bioproducts to raise the level of public understanding of their benefits, safe and proper use, and reliability.
  • Collecting or acquiring, maintaining, and analyzing data relevant to the measurement of performance and results of biofuels and bioproducts programs.

Salary Range: $27.56 – $40.61/hourly; $57,545 – $84,793/annually

This position is located in St. Paul and may have options for teleworking from home.
