Job Description

Summary: The Project Manager of Commercial Assets assumes central ownership of the day to day operations of all WGL Energy Systems Commercial Assets. This position is accountable for the proactive and uninterrupted operation and management of installed distributed generation assets

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Oversee Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Contracts and Contractors for Distributed Generation assets.
• Schedule and conduct site-visits to determine existing conditions of assets and recommend servicing or repairs as needed.
• Establish quality assurance through quality controls and conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the reliability and availability of assets in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Manage warranty/performance guarantee aspects of EPC/O&M contracts after final asset acceptance.
• Participate during testing and commissioning phases to determine conformance with company quality standards.

Skills & Abilities:
• A minimum of 10 years of construction industry, asset management or energy industry with at least 5 of those years in management and electrical experience and at least 2 years of solar experience required.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, business or related discipline preferred.
• Knowledge of current construction and operations codes for commercial Solar PV and other distributed generation systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the renewable energy industry with particular focus on solar systems including a familiarity with federal and local energy regulations and performance standards.
