Job Description

The Foothill Conservancy, a community-based nonprofit advocacy organization based in California’s central Sierra Nevada, is seeking a dynamic individual to grow our organization as its new executive director.

  • Requires strong business, people and communication skills coupled with a passion for community and the environment.
  • Responsible for all organization operations, including finance, fundraising, staff and volunteer management, contracts, board support, capacity building, community outreach and communications, program development and management.
  • Live and work in Sierra foothill communities with a high quality of life, close to skiing, trails, rivers, hiking, wilderness, historic towns and great wineries. Easy drive to Lake Tahoe, Sacramento and the Bay Area.
  • Salary and benefit package negotiable.
