State of Iowa – Iowa Economic Development Authority – Energy Project Manager

The Iowa Economic Development Authority has an immediate opening for a project manager on the Energy Team within the Community Development Division at the Authority. 

The Project Manager will assist in the development and implementation of the Clean Cities/ alternative fuels program, the State Energy Plan for Iowa and in the implementation and administration of the annual Department of Energy (DOE) formula grant and other Authority energy initiatives. 

Qualifications:  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in research, planning, economics, business, marketing, public relations, or other related field AND experience equal to two years of full-time work that involved responsibility for interpreting laws, rules and regulations, and/or securing compliance with them or compiling and evaluating statistical, historical, economic, business, financial, or technical related or program data OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of the above required experience for each year (thirty semester or equivalent hours) of the required education.  Experience with conducting research, outreach, marketing, knowledge of energy and alternative fuel initiatives, and interpreting federal energy programming is preferred.  Some travel throughout Iowa and occasional travel outside of Iowa may be required. 

Position will be housed in Des Moines at the Iowa Economic Development Authority. Salary range is $48,193.60 – $73,403.20.  Send cover letter and resume by February 2, 2018 to: [email protected]
