Our client, an elite boutique firm formed by highly educated management, is a specialist provider of information and research to investors in renewable energy, low-carbon technology and the carbon markets. They operate across all sectors of renewable energy and low-carbon technology, including, wind, solar, biofuels and biomass, as well as the carbon markets. This is a booming industry that is growing at triple rates annually. Our client is looking to recruit a Sales Associate to help grow their presence in the rapidly changing clean energy sector. The ideal candidate for the role will have the following qualifications and experience: ` Proven track record of selling at least financial or economic subscription information services. ` Must have Energy or Carbon Market experience. ` Knowledge of and interest in the renewable energy and low-carbon technology sectors. ` Ability to interact well and engage with senior management at institutions and coordinate activity at target accounts. ` Strong working knowledge of finance, including public markets, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and project finance. ` Strong interest in North American energy markets and financial companies. ` Strong quantitative skills, comfort with financial databases, ` Very strong organization and time management skills. ` Ability and passion to set and meet business development goals. ` Ambition to sell financial information or analytical services to North American organisations, and meet aggressive sales goals in a rapidly growing company. ` Ability to renew and expand existing relationships while simultaneously targeting and closing new clients. ` Interest in business-building, with potential to take greater responsibility as business grows. The successful candidate is likely to have a few years of commercial work experience in a relevant sector, such as investment banking, energy or information service sales. Ou client is looking for a high-energy and productive individual. The sales associate must be a self-starter, have a high work-rate, be able to multi-task, and pay attention to detail. A flexible and personable approach is essential. He or she will work as part of a team led by the Director of North American Sales. It is expected that a successful candidate will be willing to travel and operate in multiple time zones.
